The ladder contains nineteen double-stranded DNA bands that are designed for sizing and approximate quantification of wide-range molecular weight standards on agarose gels. The ladder is composed of nine purified individual DNA fragments ranging from 100-10000 bp. The enhanced intensity of the 500 bp, 1.5K and the 3K fragments are designed to serve as reference bands.
